Carrington Centennial Care is a non-profit, Charitable, Public Benevolent Institution situated approximately 4 km southwest of the historic town of Camden in N.S.W.

Carrington is a centre of excellence for the aged and disabled, and has been providing care to the community from its semi-rural setting since 1889.

CARRINGTON CENTENNIAL CARE ACKNOWLEDGED IN NATIONAL AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE IN AGED AND COMMUNITY CARE
The annual Awards for Excellence, presented in Melbourne on Tuesday 18 September, 2007 at the Aged and Community Services Australia (ACSA) National Conference, recognize excellence in quality care and services for older people.
National Awards were presented to services and individuals from NSW, Victoria , South Australia and Western Australia . All the winners and finalists were outstanding achievers in the aged and community care industry throughout Australia .
The ACSA Awards have been made since 1990 and are the industry recognition of dedication and innovation in providing services to older Australians and younger Australians with a disability.
Carrington Centennial Care was the winner in the “ Training Innovation” category which was proudly accepted by their CEO, Raad Richards . The training innovation award, proudly sponsored by the Australian College of Health Service Executives, recognizes a proactive approach to the development of a culture of learning in all activities. This approach is so important in retaining and supporting good staff.
Judges this year included former Governor General Sir Ninian Stephen, prominent businesswoman and journalist Ita Buttrose, former Equal Opportunity Commissioner, Moira Raynor, former federal minister and co-chair of the NSW Health Care Advisory Council, the Right Honorable Ian Sinclair, prominent philanthropist, Mr Baillieu Myer, the Productivity Commission's Robert Fitzgerald and 2007 Senior Australian of the Year, Mr Phillip Hereen.
Judge Robert Fitzgerald commented on the comprehensive approach to ongoing learning and education which was yielding good results in enhancing staff skills and competencies whilst Judge Dianne Ball was impressed by Carrington's research focus and the use of different modes of training.
